Meet Joe
Joe Sweeney is 42 years old and lives in Dublin. He has an 11-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old chihuahua named Carrot. Joe has never run for office before, but he’s deeply concerned about the future of our country, so he’s standing up to fight to turn things around.
Joe grew up in Longville, Minnesota, a tiny town of 156 people. He excelled academically, graduated top of his class in high school, and was a Minnesota State Speech Champion, which is where his interest in national and world affairs began.
In 2004, he graduated from college, again near the top, with degrees in biochemistry and mathematics. He moved to California and received his Master’s degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 2008.
Joe then founded and ran a successful math & science tutoring and test prep company for many years, and then founded and currently runs a successful medical supply company in Pleasanton.
Meet Joe in person and you’ll quickly see he’s genuine, cares about our country, and is razor sharp with a witty sense of humor.
Joe has always been an independent thinker and an independent voter and believes strongly that we need to break the corrupt & polarizing two-party system to put our country back on the right track. He’s aware of how challenging that road will be, but difficulty never deters him.
