This is the full talk I gave at the Blackhawk Fundraiser event on 2/3/24.
At a recent event, I used this analogy of America to shock people awake. Some thought it was too dark. To me, it tells what stage of awake you are. Tell me in 3 months if it's too dark. In 6 months. I'm not running for US Congress because I want to be a politician. I am running to save our country.
Politicians have turned our government into a giant shop-vac, sucking every last dollar and cent it can from every last class and race of Americans. If elected to Congress, these are the 5 things I will support to break their reckless spending machine.
America has a birthrate of 1.7. We need a rate of 2.1 to prevent population collapse and economic stagnation similar to Japan. We can fill this gap with the best and brightest from around the world, but our legal immigration pathways are badly broken. I talk about how the legal immigration system is broken, and discuss 7 policies I will spearhead if elected to Congress to fix it.
This is the truth about the magnitude of the illegal immigration problem and the cost to US taxpayers. I discuss the 5 policies that I will push to close the border if elected to Congress.

An omnibus bill is the vehicle our members of Congress use as their tool of mass corruption. Here’s what it really is, how it works, and how they fool the American people into believing they’re doing their jobs.

Congress is supposed to pass 12 appropriations bills every year. They no longer do. Instead they pass giant continuing resolutions and omnibus bills that are the vehicles for the corruption of our government officials, agencies, and programs. Electing independents to Congress will force budgets back to the middle, increase scrutiny on individual agencies and programs, and balance our budget like in the 1990s.

We Americans have become complacent because we’ve had it easy. We took the power of The People and put it on a shelf in the back of the closet because we never thought that WE would need to use it. But our two-party rulers never became complacent, they’ve been busy at work passing bits of legislation and policy every week, every month, every year, to take money and power from us and transfer it to them, their parties, and their donors. Will you pull your power back off that shelf in 2024?
In 49 seconds seconds, Joe explains how instead of The People having power over Congress, they've flipped it on us. He then reminds us that The People have more power than any branch of government or public official, and that we can flip it back by electing independent candidates to office, the only ones that can fix the system and restore power to The People.
Joe gives a motivating speech about about why our country is in decline, how The People have become complacent and consumed by social apps, television, sports, and day-to-day activities. How they have put their power on a shelf in the back of the closet and left it collecting dust for decades, while the ruling class in Washington has been busy at work passing bits of legislation that have destroyed our country. In 60 seconds, Joe explains why Congress no longer echoes with the voices of The People and how they can restore their power over Congress: by electing independent representatives. People who don't bring bills to floor of the House that were written by their donors, people who don't hold the party line on every vote because that's what their party leadership and donors tell them to do.
What’s better than having someone represent your district who doesn’t have to check in with party leadership and the party’s donors before they take a position on an issue? What’s better than having someone who doesn’t flip positions based on who their current donor base is? What’s better than having someone who cares more about the people they represent than about holding the party line on every vote so party leadership will let them keep their seat and committee assignments?
Joe explains that it's been 33 years since a candidate was first-elected to the US House of Representatives as an independent candidate and that he's running to break the barrier so it becomes standard for every district in the country to elect an independent representative, even though nobody thinks it can be done. Just like it's now standard for professional runner to break the 4-minute mile barrier like Roger Bannister in 1954, when no one thought it could be done.
