Joe helps the people of his district get to know him by talking about his humble beginnings. Growing up in a town of 156 people in northern Minnesota where he was Turtle Racing Champion of the World at Age 4, caught some big fish off the bridge by his house and in his little 14-foot fishing boat, became a Minnesota State Speech Champion, graduated college with degrees in Biochemistry and Mathematics, and then went onto UC Berkeley's chemistry graduate program. Joe founded and ran two successful small businesses, and explains why he HAD to run for Congress: because he REFUSES to allow our country to become a place he's afraid for his daughter, and all of our kids and grandkids, to grow up in. He hasn't heard anyone talk about why our country is REALLY in decline and the ONLY way to fix the problem: BREAK the two-party system. That's why he's running: to give The People the alternative they've been looking for, and to show that breaking the two-party system can be done.
